California loves Prius. It is the place where hybrid cars are dreamed up, after all. It's no wonder Toyota Prius is such a hit.

There's plenty of cargo room in both the sedan and Prius-V variants, but if you need a little more storage space, there's an answer. Camp-Inn has designed an extension of Prius rear hatch space, on display at the annual Tokyo Auto Salon. It's a new kind of roof camper.

The device extends rear capacity, as well as protected roof storage by 20 inches. With your Prius rear seating folded down, Camp-Inn claims "two can sleep in the top bunk, and with the hybrid's rear seats folded down, another pair can catch 40 winks below."¹

Of course, you'll need to supply a Prius of your own, there are many at Toyota of Braintree located at 210 Union Street Braintree, MA. There will also be many strange, yet useful concepts, coming out of Japan at Tokyo's Auto Salon continues.
