What are the New Features for the 2026 Corolla? 

The new 2026 is very similar to the 2025 but with a few small upgrades.

The Toyota Corolla has always been reputed to be one of the most reliable and trustworthy cars ever made.  As the new 2026s come in, many people are asking what changed between the 2025  and 2026 model years.

 

In brief, perhaps the most significant change is that the Blind Spot Monitor package (with Cross Traffic Alert) is now standard equipment on the 2026 model. 

Previously on the 2025, to get that package you needed to add the “LE Premium Package” for  $1,135.   (Which also got you Alloy Wheels and a Push Button Start). 

The new 2026 makes those important safety features standard, and the price of the 2026 is only $400 higher than the 2025!   The Cross Traffic Alert by itself is easily worth the extra money.   How many times have you found yourself backing out of a parking spot at the South Shore Plaza, or Stop and Shop, and can’t see if there is a vehicle coming up the lane because your line of sight is blocked by SUVs on both sides of your car?  The Cross Traffic Alert will tell you what might be coming at you, even if neither you nor your rearview camera can see vehicles approaching at that angle. 

The 2026 Corolla also has Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, including Lane Tracing Assist instead of Proactive Driving Assist.   It also has Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection,Lane Tracing Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams and Road Sign Assist.  

The new 2026 also upgrades the Connected Services features over the 2025.   The  2026 Corolla has Drive Connect with Cloud Navigation, Intelligent Assistant, and Destination Assist (1-year trial on select trims). 

Although the Corolla generally has exceptional fuel economy, the Corolla Hybrid excels even every expectation as far as fuel savings go!     We have found that many of our customers have found the new Corolla to be a perfect commuter car into Boston, as well as a great choice for new drivers or new grads.
